St John's Community Fair
Saturday 17 October 2020 - 9.00 am to 1.30 pm
St John's Fair has been a regular feature in the Canberra calendar since the 1930's. It's a traditional fair jam packed full of entertainment, stalls, homemade jams and cakes, craft, books, food stalls, BBQ, Devonshire teas, coffee van, plants, clothing stall, Trinkets and Treasures, white elephant goods, plus lots more.
Families love children's the activities which in 2019 included pony rides, free jumping castle, free petting zoo, free face painting, fishing game, etc.
Entertainment in 2019 included: McQuoids Bush Band, Emmaus Christian School Band and Choir, Canberra Pipes and Drums, The Society for Creative Anachronisms, Canberra Grammar School Concert Band, COZMO, Radford Camerata, The Anglican School Googong Choir and the Strange Weather Gospel Choir.
You can also step back to the days of slate boards, slate pencils, blackboards, chalk and inkwells by visiting the St John’s Schoolhouse Museum.
Experience all the fun of an old fashioned fair in the heart of Canberra again in 2020.
Donate your unwanted goodies to the Fair
From early October 2020, we will be collecting good quality items that can be recycled and sold at our Fair. We really like donations of toys, books, clothing (clean and in good condition), White Elephant Goods (crockery, cutlery, kitchenware, glassware, tea and dinner sets, pictures, ornaments and other items of value) and items for our Trinkets and Treasures stall.
Please note it is illegal for us to sell or give away ANY electrical goods, baby seats, prams or helmets. All items must be of sufficient quality so they can be recycled.
Where: You can leave them in the hall entry area prior to our Fair. We thank you for your support.
