St John's 2026 Community Fair
Canberra’s favourite spring fair returns on Saturday 17 October 2026!
From 9 am to 2 pm, the beautiful grounds of St John’s come alive with visitors from across Canberra and the surrounding region and stalls including:
- Plants
- Books
- Clothes
- Trinkets, treasures, arts and crafts
Throughout the day, the Church, Schoolhouse Museum and St John’s Care will all be open, with musical performances by our Church Bellringers, local singers, bands and performers.
The Duntroon Guides will be running tours of the church and grounds, plus the Fair features displays from the Canberra Regional Medieval Society, Canberra Classic Car Society, the National Trust, St Mark’s Theological Centre and many others.
Our Kids’ Zone features a jumping castle, pony rides, a live reptile display, face painting and more.
This year, food options include Thai, Filipino, a sausage sizzle, coffee, cakes, gelato and our much loved Devonshire teas.
Cash and cashless payments are welcome, and we thank our sponsors, the Griffith Butchery and Silo Bakery, Kingston.
The Community Fair is all about celebrating community, inclusivity and fun – and helping raise funds for the vital work of the Parish.

This year, the Fair celebrates the 180th anniversary of St John’s. Our Kids’ Zone returns with rides, amusements and a live reptile display, and we’ll have food options including Thai, Filipino, burgers, a sausage sizzle and coffee, cakes and gelato.

Throughout the day, there’ll be performances from local singers, the McQuoids Bush Band and the Canberra Pipes and Drums, plus displays from our Church Bellringers, the Canberra Regional Medieval Society and many more.
