CAN YOU HELP THE SCHOOLHOUSE MUSEUM BY MAKING A TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION?

Towards the end of 2017 it was discovered that termites had done significant damage to the St John's Schoolhouse Museum floor. The Schoolhouse was closed and it was reopened in late March 2018 when the floor was replaced.

Construction of the Schoolhouse began in the early 1840s with classes likely to have commenced in 1845. The school closed in 1907 and opened as a museum in 1969. It has an important role in promoting the development of Canberra from a pioneering rural community to today's National Capital. We need your help to preserve for generations to come the heritage listed museum.

Please consider making a tax deductible donation through the St John's National Trust Heritage Appeal Fund (clearly stating it is for the Schoolhouse Museum). You can download the donation form below or ring the Parish Office on 02 6248 8399 with your credit card details or for more information.
