Because of COVID-19 our St John's community is connecting with one other via YouTube, Website, Facebook, Weekly Newsletter, email, phone, Zoom (a video conferencing platform), etc.
There was only one morning “Church Family” service at 10 am on Sunday 15 March 2020 to celebrate our 175th anniversary. The Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended. Mrs Hurley is seen here after the service at the Schoolhouse Museum.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh attended worship at St John's in 2011.
In October 2019 the 1960's asbestos roof tiles on St John's church (1841) were replaced with Welsh slate. The church continues to be a symbol of faith and hope in our Canberra community.
