St John's Beach Camp at Bawley Point Nov 2009
Families and children
The 9:30am service is designed to be child and family friendly. During term time we have a ‘Children's Church’. We gather in the church for the first hymn then our children go to their own program in the Robertson Room. They rejoin the congregation in time to take their place beside their parents to share Holy Communion.
We like children and their families to feel comfortable, and there is no need to feel embarrassed if your child cries, laughs, talks or sings - as children do! We provide toys in our chapel alcove, where young children (and sometimes their parents) often enjoy sitting and being quietly active during the service.
We hold additional family events and activities throughout the year, including a family camp.
Children's Church
Children's Church focuses on welcoming and caring for all children. It provides opportunities for faith exploration, community building and fun. The groups focus broadly on listening, singing and responding to Bible stories, often using hands-on activities.
