Samuel:I am starting full time studies at St Mark’s in the Bachelor of Theology. I am a postulant for the Diocese of Bathurst and am standing as a candidate for the priesthood.

I grew up in Sydney and after completing a degree in Horticultural Science I moved to Tasmania to work as an agronomist in vegetable production. At the end of 2007 I resigned from my job to continue discerning my calling and spent time in 2008 travelling overseas including some time working at the Lambeth conference.

Samuel will be a student at St Paul’s Manuka but you will see him (and all the other students) at St John’s every weekday at Morning Prayer and some occasional services.

Syeira:

I have been in the community for 18 months now and am currently half way through a theology degree at St Marks’.

Syeira is looking forward to working with Children’s Church this year.
