St Peter's Sutton

Rev'd David Hill, Rev'd Paul Black (Rector) and Bishop Ian George (former Rector) at St Peter's Sutton 100 year celebrations on Sunday, October 26.
St Peter’s Church Sutton, has nearly always been a part of St John’s Parish (except for a short period from 1913-1914 when it was attached to Christ Church, Queanbeyan). The church has served the Sutton farming community and village residents since the early twentieth century. Parishioners have been involved in the Religious Education programme at Sutton Primary School for several years. They join with St John’s parishioners for functions including the annual Fair where they organize a fruit salad stall together with members of St Andrew’s, Wamboin congregation. Members of St John’s Lay Readers team conduct a Morning Prayer service once a month, and on the fourth Sunday a member of St John’s clergy celebrates Holy Communion.
