A faith community in the heart of Canberra

The Canberra Parish of the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn includes the areas of Reid, Braddon, Campbell, Canberra City, Fyshwick, Pialligo, Wamboin, Sutton, Fairlight Station and The Mullions.

The church of St John the Baptist is centrally situated at the edge of the Parliamentary Triangle of Canberra, on the corner of Constitution Avenue and Anzac Park West, in Reid, Canberra. Originally standing out on the Limestone Plains of the area, viewed from Mt Ainslie today, the Church is now surrounded by public buildings, residences and trees (see arrow). At ground level the site is often described as an oasis or sanctury in the heart of Canberra.

The parish has two rural churches: St Andrew's in Wamboin, and St Peter's in Sutton.  Services are also held at Fairlight Station.
